Finals Week

It has come to this time of the year. Finals week, students are spending numerous hours in the library buried in books, so they can go home after their final and enjoy the well-deserved month off. Luckily I have only two finals to worry about, thanks to having only a few finals made into projects. I just want to talk about this class. First off, I want to say thanks to Dr. Byers, now I am not trying to be a kiss-up or anything but Dr. Byers you class did help me out a lot. Thank you for that. Also I just want to say this class has helped me a lot to learn how to make an article perfect. Goodbye to all those who have followed this blog

Final Project

So finals week is a couple weeks away and once again I have been lacking to update this blog. I apologize to those who read my blog. It has been a crazy last couple of weeks but now it's almost time to wind down and relax for a month. SO let's talk about this final project and about how important community is to marquette students. Basically anything someone is involved in at Marquette relates back to some form of community. That is a great aspect of marquette, how people can be real close to others if people are in a group together or work together, they form a community. That is what the final project is about, the communities seen on campus.

college

It is now a little under two weeks left before thanksgiving, you know what that means.... crunch time. Finals will be here sooner than any college student expects it and I will soon be panicking. First in this class I have our final project which has been started but still needs plenty of work. In my reporting class I need to work on my final story. I have a paper due in a couple weeks in philosophy along with visual communications. And i have a paper due this Friday for my comm 1100 class. Damn, that's a lot. This is why college students are stressed out, because when we have all of this, we still find social events. Today I went to the Marquette men's basketball game instead of doing homework, but it was necessary. It is one part of college that is so important, the choices we make. These choices not only could affect the current day, but the rest of our lives. We must pick and choose what is most important to us. I just hope I make the right choice

Absence in Updates

My apologies for not updating this lately, I have been stressed due to midterms and other reasons. Now that fall break is over, for this class we will be working more on our final projects for, something I am extremely excited about. Our project should be good and if successful, help out others find more about Marquette and it's campus.

Project

So we are about to get started with our project for this class and I have a feeling it is going to be a pretty interesting project. I do like the fact we are working with random classmates, it is easier to get to know ppl that we didn't know already.

Project

This week in our class we recieved the assignment for our big semester project which is to eventually make a website that contains text, video, and a slideshow of photos to bring the theme, "Life at Marquette". It should be interesting to do, my group consists of people who are extremely different and we all bring great qualities to the table, so the final project should be a blast.

On a side note, my Bears are 3-0 looking to go 4-0 today against the Giants. I see Jay Cutler throwing for 400+ and 3 touchdowns as DA Bears continue their undefeated season.

Using Photos to tell a story/NFL

This week in class we focused primarily on how to tell a story using photos, it's actually quite interesting on what is required from all of it in order to have a good story. Also photos can be interpreted in so many different ways, that a person has to take good shots and make show their story is apparent to the audience. When I did my assignment for this, I forgot the most crucial part of the a photo story, the establishing shot. If I had that shot, my story would have been complete and better.

Just a note on the NFL, this week my Bears take on the Packers in a fight for the North, it should be quite the game and I am really hoping the Bears take this one to go 3-0.
